A couple of days ago, Erwin Arianto in akuinginbercerita posted an article about Pesta Blogger 2007. Quoting the website, it is "the first nation-wide bloggers gathering in Indonesia, involving many famous bloggers in their respective field".
I can't tell any single "famous blogger" tough ;-), since I consider blogs as journal and I treat them anonymously (OK, recognition is a Good Thing, I should adjust to that).
Anyway, it's a nice idea to gather. I'm pretty sure if moderated well, the event will produce some positive resolutions for a better "blogging experience". By the way, you have to register to participate.
One of the contact persons told me the registration has not open yet, and suggested me to check the website regularly for updates (or you can RSS the feed instead).
I'm eager to see how the committee organizes the event, considering the diversity (of topics) blogs can be. Will I be there? Certainly. Will you?

Solidarity for Myanmar protesters
If you've been following international news recently, you're aware that Myanmar is under constant chaos. Military junta is pressing protesters really hard, and activities within the country are far from conducive.
AFAIK, protesters initially fought for unreasonably high oil price, but now they fought for something even bigger: democracy. I therefore support them morally for their courage. If you share the same sympathy, please link this banner in your website, blog and/or community forums and speak your opinion about the issue. Digging this post will also help. We may not win against military weapons, but spreading words will rise public awareness up to something concrete.
